{"id":78,"date":"2025-08-01T06:49:22","date_gmt":"2025-08-01T06:49:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/j423community.com\/j423apps\/?p=78"},"modified":"2025-09-21T07:27:37","modified_gmt":"2025-09-21T07:27:37","slug":"dwelling-place-of-god","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/j423community.com\/j423apps\/bible-study\/dwelling-place-of-god\/","title":{"rendered":"Built for His Dwelling"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Scripture: Ephesians 2:19\u201322<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cNow, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,<br>having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone,<br>in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord,<br>in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.\u201d<br>\u2014 <em>Ephesians 2:19\u201322<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Message<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is being built \u2014 <em>yes, it\u2019s a process<\/em> \u2014 into a <strong>dwelling place of God in the Spirit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lord desires not only to <strong>dwell in us<\/strong>, but also to <strong>dwell with us<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cI will make My dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.\u201d<\/em><br>\u2014 <em>2 Corinthians 6:16<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What Must We Do?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To be built into this spiritual house, Scripture gives us clear instructions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cLay aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking. As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.<br>Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious,<br>you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.\u201d<\/em><br>\u2014 <em>1 Peter 2:1\u20135<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Never forget:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cYou are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people,<br>that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.\u201d<\/em><br>\u2014 <em>1 Peter 2:9<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Important Points to Remember<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\ud83d\udd4a\ufe0f You are a <strong>spiritual house<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\ud83d\ude4f You are to <strong>offer up spiritual sacrifices<\/strong> that are acceptable to God.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u26a0\ufe0f Not all sacrifices are acceptable \u2014 see <strong>Hebrews 12:28<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\ud83e\uddf1 You are <strong>being built up<\/strong> \u2014 it\u2019s an ongoing process. Stay committed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\ud83d\udcd6 The <strong>Word of God<\/strong> is essential for your spiritual growth.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\ud83d\udd25 You need the <strong>help of the Holy Spirit<\/strong> to grow and to offer sacrifices that please God.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\ud83d\udc51 You are part of a <strong>royal priesthood<\/strong> and a <strong>holy nation<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Bonus Scriptures for Further Reflection<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Exodus 19:6<\/strong> \u2014<br><em>\u201cAnd you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Revelation 1:6<\/strong> \u2014<br><em>\u201cAnd has made us kings and priests to His God and Father; to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Revelation 5:10<\/strong> \u2014<br><em>\u201cAnd have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth.\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Final Thought<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You are not just saved \u2014 you are <strong>being shaped<\/strong>, <strong>grown<\/strong>, and <strong>built<\/strong> for a purpose:<br><strong>To be God\u2019s dwelling place in the Spirit.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, lay aside all that hinders. Desire His Word. Offer spiritual sacrifices. Let the Holy Spirit work in you.<br><strong>You are chosen. You are a priest.
