The word “justified”<\/strong> in the Greek is dikaio\u014d<\/em>, which means to be declared free or innocent<\/em>. It also means to be acquitted<\/em>, cleared of any charge or imputation<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, What Must You Do to Be Justified Before God?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The answer is found in Romans 4:1\u20135<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cWhat then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh?
For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God.
For what does the Scripture say? \u2018Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.\u2019
Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt.
But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Continuing in Romans 4:6\u20138<\/strong>, Paul quotes David:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cBlessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven,
And whose sins are covered;
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

From this passage, it is clear:
The requirement for justification in the New Testament is faith.<\/strong>
Therefore, to be justified, you must have faith!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Faith Is Not Passive \u2014 It Is Active<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Faith involves three key actions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Believe<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

You must believe<\/strong> in Him who justifies the ungodly (Romans 4:5<\/em>). This belief must come from your heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Speak<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

You must speak<\/strong> the right confessions.
2 Corinthians 4:13<\/strong> says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cAnd since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, \u2018I believed and therefore I spoke,\u2019 we also believe and therefore speak.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Let your words match what you believe in your heart!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

If you believe the above, read this together now \u2014 out loud and boldly:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

Romans 8:1\u20134<\/strong>
\u201cThere is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus,
who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh,
God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin:
He condemned sin in the flesh,
that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Declare it: I am justified \u2014 free, acquitted, and clear of every charge!<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Hallelujah!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Let This Truth Sink In<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Read this message over and over.
Confess the relevant Scriptures until faith rises in you.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remember what the Scripture says in Romans 10:9\u201313<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cThe word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart\u201d (that is, the word of faith which we preach):
If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.<\/em>
For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.<\/em>
For the Scripture says, \u201cWhoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.\u201d<\/em>
For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.<\/em>
For \u201cwhoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

3. Act<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Are You Feeling Convicted of Sin?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the Holy Spirit is convicting you and your heart feels unsettled \u2014 talk to the Lord. He is your Father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Confess your sins and repent<\/strong> (change your ways).
1 John 1:8\u20139<\/strong> says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cIf we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Bonus Scripture: Acts 3:19\u201321<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\n

\u201cRepent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out,
so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before,
whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things,
which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Let this truth set you free.
You are justified<\/strong> by faith<\/strong> in Christ \u2014 not by works.
Believe. Speak. Walk in it.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
